Thermostats & Zoning
Room-by-room control with smart scheduling.
A smart thermostat gives you precise control over your whole house. Pair it with a zoning system and you get something even better: independent, room-by-room temperature control with automated scheduling. The thermostat sets the schedule; the zoning dampers direct conditioned air only where it's needed. Together, they eliminate hot and cold spots, cut energy waste, and give every room exactly the comfort it needs.
The benefits
Individual room control
Each zone has its own thermostat, so the sunny south bedroom can be cooler while the shaded basement stays warmer — no more thermostat wars.
Energy savings on two fronts
Zoning cuts waste by conditioning only occupied rooms, while smart scheduling automatically reduces heating and cooling when you're away or asleep.
Automated, hands-off comfort
Set schedules per zone once, and the system handles the rest — warming bedrooms before you wake, cooling the living room before you get home, all automatically.
Works with your current system
Zoning dampers and a central controller install into your existing ductwork, and smart thermostats work with most furnaces, ACs, and heat pumps.
Is it right for you?
If any of these sound familiar, it may be time for a closer look.
- Some rooms are always too hot while others stay too cold
- You have a multi-level home where heat rises and creates uneven temperatures
- You heat or cool empty rooms for much of the day
- Bedrooms and living spaces need different temperatures at different times
- You want smart, app-based control over individual zones — not just the whole house
How it works
Your home is divided into zones
We group rooms with similar comfort needs — typically by floor or usage — and assign each zone a smart thermostat and a set of motorized dampers in the ductwork.
Each thermostat calls for comfort independently
When a zone's thermostat detects it needs heating or cooling, it signals the central zoning controller, which opens that zone's dampers and starts your furnace or AC.
Dampers direct air only where needed
Motorized dampers in the ductwork open for the calling zone and close for zones that are already comfortable — so conditioned air goes exactly where it's needed, not to empty rooms.
Smart scheduling automates everything
Each zone's thermostat follows its own schedule — warming the bedrooms before morning, cooling the living room before evening — and you can adjust any zone from your phone.
